Sunday saw twelve players from the usual Friday competition field a side for Inverell in an under 12s match against Armidale.

Set on the oval at The Armidale School (TAS), it was a true spectacle that unfolded.
This was the first representative match for many of the local players and they did Inverell proud.
Dalton, Zac and Rocky all had a lengthy time batting on the turf wicket.
Lawson took a great wicket bowling and Henry shot in a ball from the outfield to help run out one of the opening batsmen for Armidale.
Wes also had excellent figures bowling, with only one run coming from his two overs. Armidale won the match however cricket was the real winner on the day.
Under 14s and under 16s both also played against Armidale on the weekend.
Conditions were warm in Armidale over the weekend, however players enjoyed their day of cricket in the sunshine.
Kicking off the representative cricket season, this game will be the first of many during summer.
