A joint project between Inverell East Rotary, Inverell Shire Council and Landcare, what was once just a piece of scrub overlooking the Macintyre River has been transformed into a tidy little park over the past seven years. Local Land Services and the Community Gardens have also supported the project.
The group are looking for any community-minded people who are willing to help at the park for a couple of hours. During the working week, volunteers from Clontarf and Danthonia will prepare the area and dig holes ready for planting, watering and mulching.
A barbecue breakfast will be provided for all volunteers at the completion of planting. The work is expected to take around two hours.
