Shane Keith McMahon was born in Mungindi on August 2, 1958 and sadly passed away in Inverell on November 4, 2018.

He was the cherished and adored husband of Julie, dearly-loved son of Keith and Pat, loved father and father-in-law of Michael and Kristy, Kylieanne and Scott and Kim.
Shane was the much-loved Poppy Grumpy of Felicity, Alexis, Shyanne, Lachlan, Indy, Dakota, Michaela, Tahlia, Johnathon, Ashley and little Jessica (deceased), Brook, Brea and Ryle.
He was a dear brother and brother-in-law to Terry and Lyn, Kim and Steve, Allen and Marie, and Wendy, and uncle to all of his nieces and nephews.
Born in Mungindi, Shane and his family moved to Inverell in 1968.
He worked on a saw mill in Gwabegar in the early years of his married life.
He moved his family back to Inverell in 1985 where he worked for some years with North West County Council.
Shane later moved to the Inverell Shire Council and was to obtain many heavy machinery licenses.
Many Inverell people will remember Shane from his nine plus years selling raffle tickets in the main street for the Salvation Army Toy Run.
Shane’s life long love of fishing saw him as an active member with the Inverell RSM Fishing Club and he loved playing social and competition darts.
Known for his generous nature and always the first to volunteer help to anyone in need; he is survived and very missed by all above.
His service on November 9 at Inverell Crematorium was attended by many family and friends locally and from as far away as Broken Hill, Bundaberg, Brisbane, Molong, Tamworth, Moree and Mungindi.
