Toby is still grinning after his brilliant performance to take out Inverell golf’s December Sutton Insurance Brokers Monthly Mug.
Toby, playing off a handicap of 17, managed to hit a two under par, 34, for the bottom nine to finish with a gross score of 76 and a net score of 59.
His net score was six shots better than anyone else on the day and five shots better than any other monthly mug winner for at least the last 12 months.

Toby started the day poorly and was seven over par for the first four holes.
For the remainder of his round he had an eagle on the eighth, three birdies and seven pars.
A player’s handicap is calculated using their best eight scores over their last 20 games.
All eight of Toby’s best scores were in his last 10 games so he is in top form of late.
Saturday’s competition also saw the playoff for the gold mug. The playoff was between the winners of the 12 monthly mugs starting December last year.
Steve Kent continued his good form and finished with a 65 net to take this years Gold Mug. Doug Cross, with 68, was Steve’s nearest rival on the day.
Grade winners were: A Grade – Steve Kent, 65, B Grade – Lucas Cracknell, 71, in a countback and C Grade – Brian McLennan, 65 in a countback.
Place getters were Col Flood and Kyle Chilcott, 65, John Foulcher, Matt Warrell and Ben Watling, 67, Doug Cross and Ben Butler, 68, Jason Shaw, Luke Bourke, Marcus Muggleton, Tom Kennedy and Bob Albinus, 69 and Tony Baldwin in a countback with a net 70.
Nearest the pins were won by Steve Kent, Brett Monaghan, Luke Bourke and Mick Tanner with Mick taking out the pro-pin.
The Inverell Golf Club will hold its annual trophy presentation after play on Hamper Day, Saturday, December 15.
