The annual carols night is a chance for young and old to enjoy music, refreshments and friendship with the local community.
“We look forward to our carols night every year because it’s a great chance to reconnect with friends that we haven’t seen for a while, and to make new ones,” Danthonia’s Chris Voll said.
“Everybody from the community is more than welcome to come on out.”
Hundreds are expected to come along for the casual event, with guests invited to suggest their favourite carols throughout the night.
Chris encouraged anyone who hasn’t visited the community before to consider coming along.
“They’re very welcome and they should use this as an opportunity to come and experience an event at our community,” he said.
“We have a beautiful facility in our hall, and it’s a great chance to see people that you wouldn’t necessarily get together with, make some new friends and most importantly, take in the meaning of Christmas together.”
Held at 4188 Gwydir Highway Elsmore, attendees are asked to arrive at 6pm for a 6.30pm start. For directions call the community on 6723 2213.
