In a classic Friday afternoon clash there were plenty of runs and wickets available on a fast wicket in under 10s junior cricket. Nico managed 12 runs in his innings.

Max, Jordan and Oliver Sutton all managed boundaries in their respective times at the crease. Many wickets were taken by the bowling side including Aiden taking out middle stump in one of his overs.
Brigalow and Ryan managed amazing figures of 1 for 0 off their overs. Henry grabbed 2 wickets during his spell.
In reply there were some great totals put together from Sam (top scoring on 20 runs), Dan, Riley, Noah and Charles who kept the tail wagging at the end. Riley was sensationally run out by a great piece of fielding from Preston. Mia bowled a maiden over and Matthew disrupted the bails to dismiss Alex.
Excellent efforts in the field were put in by Jordan, Max and Edward to complete a great afternoon of cricket.
RSM vs Square & Compass in under 12s. In near perfect conditions less the flies, RSM won the toss and elected to field. Some great batting ensued from S&C with Howie scoring 14, Jayden 17 and Mallee 10 to help set up S&C for a big total (121).
John smashed a four through backward square leg to the delight of the crowd. All batters posted valuable runs from a solid bowling attack. Jack J grabbed two wickets for great figures of 2 for 13 and Matt only lost seven runs over his three overs. Consistent bowling came from Oscar and Ryan.
RSM then sent opening specialists Louis and Ryan out to start the chase. The un-bowlable Louis was cleaned up by Howie however Ryan could not be beaten in his first innings, retiring on 6.
Oscar belted a four in his second innings and Thomas and Jack B assisted for the side. Jalen bowled a superb spell to be on a hattrick in his first over. EJ and John provided great hands in the field. I
t was a very close finish with RSM knowing they were in the hunt. The atmosphere was electric and in the final ball of the final over Georgie delivered a near perfect ball to Ryan who shot it out to cover.
From 15m away from the wicket Georgie collected and dispatched the ball to collect the stumps and run out Ryan who was finishing a brilliant second innings.
S&C scored the win to the delight of players and organizers alike. Jalen won the match ball for his two wickets and the great four he hit whilst batting.
Campbell & Freebairn vs Staggy Creek: Staggy sent in the home side where Jackson and Leo set to task. Both retired as did Connor, Annalisa and Henry. In a terrible turn of events, Rocky was runout by Lawson, though he still top scored for the side with Annalisa coming in second.
Bowling figures were excellent from Staggy, though no wickets. Luke and Lawson managed maidens from their time with the ball. Damon and George proved their worth as well.
Staggy then responded with some excellent batting from players such as Rocco, Luke and Evan. Rocky bowled the Captain with a beautiful delivery and payback then Corey claimed a wicket as well.
Jackson grabbed two wickets to assist. Great fielding efforts were put in by Myles, Henry and Connor stopping many singles, though not the eventual total. Rocco from Staggy won the match ball.

For 10s and 12s, next Friday the 14th of December will be the last round until we resume on Friday 01 February next year. The 12s draw for Friday is RSM vs Staggy Creek on field 1 and Campbell & Freebairn vs Square and Compass in the match of the week on field 2. Colts will play on Saturday 15 December at Cameron Park instead of Friday at Varley. Junior Blasters will finish off their 2018 on Saturday 15th at Varley and resume on Saturday 02 February.
