Known as the Wild Billy Lids; Jim McCosker, Rob Hardy, Michael O’Sullivan and Maria Ryan entertain customers each Thursday between 12 noon and 2pm.
It wasn’t long before diners began passing the hat around, but the group didn’t want any money – they were playing for the love of it.
Instead, the Wild Billy Lids decided to pass the donations on to Inverell East Rotary, which in turn contributed to funds to Australian Rotary Health.
During the last few months, $650 has been raised for Australian Rotary Health.
Rotary Health has four main area of focus. These are health research – grants and PhD scholarships, mental health, particularly for young Australians, Indigenous health including scholarships for tertiary study in health or related fields, and rural medical scholarships.
Inverell East Rotary is most grateful for the money raised by The Wild Billy Lids at the Australia Café.
