With a goal to raise $1,000 for the Leukaemia Foundation, Kyarah will cut her sandy-blonde locks this Thursday as part of the World's Greatest Shave.
The teen decided to shave her hair completely after her Nan was sadly diagnosed with cancer over a year ago.
"She survived thankfully, but we were very worried and scared. She faced a lot of problems and we are very lucky to still have her here because we know some people aren't as lucky," the Inverell High School student said.
When asked whether she was nervous about the big shave, Kyarah responded quite simply, "no, it's just hair".
"I'm excited to do cool things with it and I have a sowing machine so I want to make my own beanies. My goal is to raise $1,000 and I want to donate my hair."
Sarah at Tempest Hair Design has donated her time to shave Kyarah's hair on Thursday and Liberty fuel station, near the Tingha bridge, has had a donation box on the counter.
Proud mother Jessica said Liberty had been very generous, along with Sarah at Tempest.
"It's so great to know Kyarah has such a kind heart. So many people have been shocked that she's completely shaving her head but it doesn't bother her; she just wants to help."
So far, Kyarah only has around $240 left until she reaches her goal.
"I'm very grateful to everyone who has donated and helped me," she said.
