An auction of artworks, held last year, raised several thousand dollars that has now been donated as vouchers to the Rural Counselling Service.
The auction was held last September, during the Inverell Art Prize opening night, and raised $4250 for locals affected by the drought.
Peter Squires was the auctioneer on the night.
"It started with artist Rhonda March from Glen Innes wanting to donate a painting to help raise funds for those affected by drought and it just escalated from there," Inverell Art Gallery manager Jo Williams said.
"We ended up with 10 artists donating several works each, the response was just amazing."
