Minor Premiers Campbell & Freebairn take on long time rivals Staggy Creek at Varley Oval in A Grade on Saturday from 3pm.
A replay of last years grand final, both teams will come in at full strength. Campbell & Freebairn will rely on opener Brendon Campbell to anchor one end while letting their strong middle order build a total. Jack Cole, Charlie Gardiner and Jarrod Uebergang all have potential to score heavily.
The Rebels will rely on speedster Brendon Reynolds to break through, with Tony Blake, Charlie Gardner and Nathan Marsh to provide relentless support. Staggy will rely on Matt Sparke and Tom Nelson to get them off to a solid start.
Staggy also have batting depth with Paul Dailey, Nick Cumming and Mick Kenny. Add this to Clint Connery and Nick Cumming's wicket taking potential, and this will be a close match. Batting in daylight hours may prove an important factor.
In B Grade Warriors are defending their title. They will rely on the all round ability of Rod Blair who has been the backbone of the side this year.
Throw in Ray Connors with bat and ball, Andrew Blair, Luke Robinson and Preston Connors, and Warriors have a side fit to defend their title. Square & Compass got through on a strong batting performance and some bad weather last week.
Captain Liam Spalding comes in to the grand final with a fine 41, The Smith brothers are an important pair, while Tom Mitchell's return strengthens their bowling. Alex White and Ben Horneman batted well last week.
In C Grade Tingha take on Invincibles. The Livermore Brothers, Lex and Corey lead the Tingha side and will be hoping that Justin Smith bowls as he has all season.
Neville Williams has also been dangerous with the ball. Invincibles will rely on skipper Tim Torgau to do the bulk of the scoring and for his young attack featuring Charlie Baker, Ryan Campbell and Sam Gilligan to knock over Tingha.
Matches begin at 1pm in the lower grades. Presentations are held at Varley Oval between 6-7 pm.
