A hard-fought game came with an exciting reward for the Inverell school boys who won 2-0.
Joffiah and Julian were the two goal scorers of the day.
Macintyre's junior boys will face Warialda in round two early next term.
Meanwhile, Holy Trinity hosted Glen Innes for the first round of Bill Turner Cup on Monday.
From the first whistle Holy Trinity dominated the field and at half time the score was not looking good for Glen.
The Inverell side went into the halftime break happy with their 5-0 lead and spoke about continuing the high energy.
In the second half Glen Innes made a slight come back scoring three goals.
Holy Trinity managed to net another taking the final score 6-3 to the Inverell team.
In Armidale, O'Connor Catholic hosted Inverell High School for their first round.
Unfortunately, Inverell High suffered a 4-0 loss and will not advance to round two of Bill Turner Cup.
Holy Trinity, however will now play the winner of Guyra Central verse Macintyre High School.
