Around 110 Renault 4CV vehicles will descend on Inverell from April 19-22 for a muster.
As a 2019 Renault 4CV Muster co-convenor and Renault Car Club of Queensland president Phil Harrison has been spending time planning the event.
Participants will begin each day at the National Transport Museum before heading to different locations.
"We have been charmed by the many attractions of Inverell and district and absolutely delighted with the friendly reception that we have received from the people of Inverell," he said.
On Friday, the muster will tour the CBD before heading to the historic Wing Hing Long store in Tingha. They'll have lunch at the Red Lion Tavern in Glencoe before visiting the petrol pump museum.
A registration and dinner will later commence at the Inverell RSM Club. On Saturday, the muster will visit Myall Creek for a smoking ceremony.
Participants will learn more about the massacre at Myall Creek near the Gwydir River, in the central NSW district of Namoi which involved the brutal killing of at least twenty-eight unarmed indigenous Australians by eleven colonists on June 10, 1838.
After two trials, seven of the eleven colonists were found guilty of murder and hanged. A memorial to the victims of the massacre was unveiled on June 10, 2000, consisting of a granite rock and plaque overlooking the site of the massacre.
A ceremony is held each year commemorating the victims
They will later drive to the old stamper site at Bingara for a photo shoot. They'll also stop by the living classroom in Bingara before returning to Inverell via Copeton Dam.
On Saturday evening, participants will enjoy an official muster dinner and meeting at the RSM.
"On Sunday, we tour the CBD then embark on our 'Mystery Visit'. After that, we return to the National Transport Museum for lunch, swap meeting, car show and forums before enjoying at barbecue dinner."
On Monday, the muster will visit Pioneer Village followed by an 'a la carte' lunch at Easts Bowls Club.
After lunch, the options are to stay chatting or visit a local tractor museum. Participants have been given a road book with historic information about each stop and location.
This is the 16th Renault 4CV Muster to be held. Participants are set to cruise into town from Thursday this week.
