In the lead up to Mother's Day, Gilgai Public School will host a relaxed evening for local ladies on May 10.
The fundraising wine and cheese night provides an opportunity to support the small school and celebrate.
P and C secretary Tessa Monckton said a $25 ticket will include as much food as attendees can eat.
"We'll have hot nibbles, cheese, salami, platters, punch and a wonderful dessert grazing table. The night is a perfect way to celebrate all mums," she said.
Hoping to raise enough funds for a new school excursion for the students, Tessa said the evening was an open invitation to ladies around the district.
The annual school fete will still take place but has been moved to an October date.
"We thought we might try something a little different this year to raise more funds. We contribute to the cost of the bus each year when the children go on their excursion.
"As the new location is a different distance away from Gilgai, the bus will cost more this year so we thought hosting this event might help bunk some more funds."
Held in the school hall from 6pm, attendees are encouraged to dress to impress with a few lucky-door prizes and giveaways taking place on the night.
"We'd love for people to come out and see our school. The event is open to anyone in the community. We have a few local businesses who've donated vouchers for prizes."
The wine and cheese night will ensure Gilgai Public School students don't miss out on a fun excursion to a new location this year.
Tickets are available from the school or All Dolled Up. For more information contact Tessa on 0429 150 190.
