Community members are encouraged to bring their beloved dogs, both large and small even those who don't have a pet are welcome to join in the fun.
Inverell's RSPCA MPW organiser Margaret Payne hoped the event would continue to grow.
"This will only happen with the support of the community. It encourages people to get out for the morning and walk their dogs and at the same time it is raising awareness of the local RSPCA branch," she said.
The walk begins at 11am from Campbell Park with registrations open from 9.30am. A sausage sizzle will also be available to participants at a very reasonable price.
"It's a great morning out for dogs, the kids and adults. we'd love to see the whole family come along.
"This Million Paws Walk is a great way to celebrate pets and how import they are to individuals."
Residents are invited to complete the five or seven kilometres walk at their own pace.
There will be prizes for best dressed dog and owner in two categories large dog and small dog.
Prices include $15 for adults, $25 for a family and $8 for children and pensioners.
