Inverell Tennis Club held round five on the NSW Tennis North West Junior Development Series (JDS) on Sunday.

Around 85 players from around the wider region took the courts in age groups of eight and under to opens.
The JDS tournament consists of a series of round robin events in each region, providing junior players with an introduction to tournament play.
The series culminates in a Champion of Champions tournament in Inverell later this year.
Locally, Inverell was represented by Ben and Rowan Butler, Aaron Baker, Josh Parker, Tom Murphy, Griffen Byrne and Arthur and Aiden Tighe.
Ben Butler, a rising tennis talent known throughout the region, finished runner up to Aaron Osmond of Gunnedah in the open men's singles.
While, Arthur Tighe finished runner up to Vitorio Sandidra also of Gunnedah in the 16 and under boys singles.
Some outstanding tennis was played on the day.
"The club wished to thank everyone who helped in the kitchen and out on the courts on the day because without their help, these tournaments simply could not be run as smoothly as they do," Inverell Tennis Club's Greg Fleming said.
Jarrad Campbell of Tamworth was congratulated for assisting on the day, allowing the tournament to run well.
