Not only do the stars have to deliver a knock-out performance in front of a huge crowd on June 14, but they've also been planning fundraising events in between rehearsals, work schedules and life.
Stars John McGregor, Lyn Hill, Nick King, Gina Higgins, Zoe Hannam, Amy Higgins, Paul Harmon, Will Mann, Emily King, Michelle Reddy, Josh Stewart, Ryan Smith and Peter Caddey are relying on the old saying "practice makes perfect".
Nine acts will be performed at the RSM Club on June 14, and Cancer Council's community relations coordinator Tracey Cullen encouraged residents to purchase tickets to the night.
"Our performers range in age from 16 to over 60. We'll have plenty of variety with Latin, Line Dancing, Rock 'N' Roll, Country Swing, Bollywood, Hip Hop and so much more," she said.
A number of local dance instructors have jumped on board to fine-tune the stars choreography before the big event.
Tracey said the stars were having a lot of fun, making new-found friendships and treasured memories.
"They all got together to perform their joint opening act on Sunday. It was great to see so many smiles," she said.
Inspired by the television show 'dancing with the stars', the evening will run very much the same.
Judges Monte of 2NZ and BEST Employment chief executive Penny Alliston-Hall will have the tough decision of choosing a winning act on the night.
There will also be a prize given to the star who raising the most amount of money for the Cancer Council NSW.
"One of the main things we assist Inverell patients with is accommodation when travelling to Tamworth for treatment.
"This financial year we've saved $30,000 for Inverell residents by being able to offer our assistance and this money raised locally will go towards helping locals in need."
An auction will also be held to raise further funds with Landmark donation $1000 worth of cattle feed. Up for grabs will also be a spa voucher from Blair Athol and a load of wood.
A Stars of the Sapphire City website has been launched for those wishing to read more about participants.
