Dancing the Merengue with partner Will Mann, Zoe decided to become a 'star' for the fundraising event to support a good cause.
"We've all got family and friends that have been through cancer treatment. It's also on my bucket list of things I've always wanted to do so when I heard about it, I jumped," she said.
Teacher Marcia Summers has been working with Will and Zoe to fine-tune their choreography before the big event on June 14.
Each of the 13 stars are continuously raising money for Cancer Council NSW prior to the event. An award will be given to the highest fundraiser in the group.
Zoe has decided to host a Biggest Bush Morning Tea on Monday, June 3 as her major fundraiser.
Live music will set the Aussie, bush atmosphere between 10am and 3pm at 126 Otho Street, along with billy tea, damper, raffles, a cake stall, plants for sale and so much more.
"Everyone is invited down for the morning tea. The morning will have a real bush feel. Personally, I am really enjoying the experience so far, I think it's been really fun learning a new dance."
A group rehearsal was held on Sunday for the opening and closing performance. Although challenging, Zoe thought it would look "really good" on the night.
Having had a grandmother, mother and members of her husband's family battle cancer, some unfortunately losing that battle, Zoe hopes residents will support her fundraiser.
"This experience has grown my confidence, got me out of my comfort zone and allowed me to achieve a few dreams."
The Stars of Sapphire City Dance for Cancer will be held at the Inverell RSM Club on Friday, June 14 starting at 7pm.
Ticket prices are set at $50 and includes a sumptuous gourmet grazing table, cash bar and plenty of entertainment.
