Performing in Inverell for one show only, Wednesday, June 19 at the RSM Club, locals are being urged to get in quick.
For 20 years the Melbourne International Comedy Festival has been touring far and wide, bringing giggles, and good times across the country.
The Inverell Cultural Group is proud to present the Roadshow for the very first time locally.
This year's line-up on the laugh-laden schedule includes host Bob Franklin, and brilliant entertainers Dane Simpson, Nikki Britton, Daniel Connell and Ivan Aristeguieta.
Bob Franklin is an award-winning stand-up comic, writer, director and actor. He has been twice nominated for the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Barry Award and has won both the MICF Piece of Wood Award and the Sunday Age Best Comedy Show of the Year Award.
His television and film work includes Jack Irish - Black Tide, The Last Confession of Alexander Pearce, Bad Eggs, The Librarians, Stupid, Stupid Man, Please Like Me, Jack Irish and Thank God You're Here.
Funny-man Daniel Connell could easily be described as the ideal Aussie comedian; affable, loveable and hilarious. His observational, dry, often unanticipated comedy has seen him take to stages all over the country.
Nikki Britton started out as an actor and exploded onto the comedy scene in 2011 with her warm, lightning paced style that has seen her appear on ABC's Comedy Up Late and on The Comedy Channel as part of the Just For Laughs Festival.
Dane Simpson is one of Australia's rapidly rising stars. He has toured around Australia doing various comedy shows. He has appeared on ABC's Comedy Up Late. He starred in the hit standup comedy show "Aborigi-LOL" which sold out its entire season at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. He also appeared on the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Gala.
Ivan Aristeguieta's brilliant observations on Aussie culture and food, take this Venezuelian around the country, headlining theatres and selling out festivals. Ivan has gathered a mass of fans for his trademark cheerful and nave rejoicing in the troubles and joys of a land that is girt by tomato sauce...and the unmissable Saturday Bunnings sausage sizzle.
Previous Roadshow casts have introduced audiences to the likes of Celia Pacquola, Luke McGgregor, Dave Hughes, Peter Hellier, Nazeem Hussain, Hannah Gadsby and many more recognizable names.
Don't miss the funniest night of the year in Inverell. There are still tickets available to see these comics in action on Wednesday night.
Tickets are $35 through Trybooking, or available to purchase at the RSM and the Tourist Information Centre.
