This week has been a significant time for Year 10 students of Inverell High School who have engaged in work experience within the surrounding area.

Fifteen year old Zac Campbell has been completing work experience at Vital Health Inverell learning physiotherapy.
Growing up in an active family, Zac has been involved within both local and regional sport and has achieved considerable success through indoor and outdoor soccer.
"I think that working at Vital Health was a really good choice for me. It combines my passion for sport with my people skills," Zac expressed.
Throughout his week, Zac has shadowed physicians at Vital Health and has learned the practices of the human services and sports industry.
"It really has been a great week. Its given me real world experience," he explained.
Towards the future Zac would like to pursue a form of higher education through university and would like to complete his high school certificate (HSC).
"I'm not too sure what I want to do in the future really. I'm hoping this week will tell me," Zac laughed.
Fifteen year old Hannah Readett has also been completing work experience at Studio E Hair Design and has been studying hairdressing.
Throughout her life, Hannah has been interested in hairdressing and has been significantly involved within her hair styling job at Shabu Hair.
"I think working at Studio E was a great idea. I really wanted to get more hands on experience with hair dressing and take my skills further," Hannah explained.
Throughout her week, she has learnt the fundamentals of hair dressing and has completed hands on workshops in hair treatments, curling and coloring.
"I think work experience is fantastic. It's allowed me to learn about my passion and its given me an opportunity to develop my skills further. More people should do it."
Hannah would like to continue her passion for hair dressing and would like to complete her hair dressing apprenticeship through TAFE instead of completing her HSC.
