"It's going to be wonderful," HealthWISE primary health care nurse Chris Connor said.
She said many women put their own needs aside during trying times, and deserve a chance to recharge their batteries.
Hosted by HealthWISE along with Friendly Faces, Helping Hands, the first event will run from 10am to 2pm this Friday, June 21 at the Croppa Creek Bowling Club, followed by a second high tea at the North Star Club from 10am to 2pm on Friday, June 28.
Designed to enrich minds, bodies and souls, attendees will be treated to beauty demonstrations from Mandy Laidlaw and hear from Chris how to take care of their mental and physical health.
"When money's tight - and that's what's happening with the drought - a lot of women put off little luxuries," Chris said.
North Star's own Bernadette Allport will discuss reiki and bowen therapy at the later talk, while Kelly Foran from Friendly Faces, Helping Hands will share her struggles and successes in the hospital system at both events. Women will have the opportunity to check their skin health with a biophotonic scanner provided by Tina Fullton-Smith.
The teas are child-friendly and mums are encouraged to come along with their youngsters. Gift bags full of health and beauty goodies will be provided.
