During the dinner, the 2018 president and board were formally thanked for their efforts before inducting a new board and president.
An acknowledgement of all the work over the past 12 months was published in a very interesting booklet.
District Governor Lorraine Coffey attended the event and praised the club for their fantastic efforts over the last year.
She also presented Paul Harris Fellowship Awards for distinguished service to Neil Eigeland, Helen Tickle and a Paul Harris Fellowship with a Sapphire to Chris Newbigin.
Disbursements for 2018-19 sat at an amazing $73,200 which included all money going through the club's account.
This included $36,000 for local drought support in sapphire dollars, $10,000 for local youth development programs, local schools received $2400, polio eradication was given $1500, motor neuron disease research was donated $1300, local charities such as Operation Operating Room and VRA received $9000, and $14K went to overseas aid.
Rotary members enjoyed music from Chris Richter and his daughter Jasmin, both extremely talented, and the club would like to extend their thanks to the duo for entertaining the crowd.
