Around 35 people wandered around the gallery to view the hundreds of art pieces and make bids on their favourites.
Manager Jo Williams said a bit of frantic bidding took place at the late minute which created a fun atmosphere.
"I know there was one piece called 'Young Nurse' quite a few people were bidding on throughout the night. The lady who ended up with the highest bid was thrilled.
"Another piece, called 'Flowers in Vase' was popular. There was a bit of crazy bidding at the end of that as well," Jo said.
Most art piece included in the auction were donated to the gallery, however some were being sold on commission.
Funds raised through the donated pieces will be put back into the gallery to help cover the costs of day-to-day running.
"We haven't done a final tally yet but I think we've done well out of the auction. It has been a great success for us," she said.
Jo said the curry on offer, cooked by Inverell Art Gallery's catering committee, was very popular and absolutely delicious.
Not all of the art pieces sold on the night and the few left over are still available for purchase at the gallery.
"There's no reason people can't come in and make an offer on anything that doesn't already have a bid on it."
Head on in from 10am until 4pm Monday to Friday to view the pieces and find out more information.
