After qualifying locally, around 40 teams from Armidale, Inverell, Moree, Narrabri and Tamworth travelled to compete across five divisions.
Wee Waa Public School defeated Ross Hill Public in the Year 5/6 division for the first time in three years
In the Year 7/8 girls McCarthy Catholic College defeated Inverell High School in the grand final.
St Marys Catholic College won their division over Holy Trinity School in the Year 7/8 boys.
In the Year 9/10 girls division, McCarthy Catholic College beat O'Connor Catholic College in the grand final.
Holy Trinity School beat O'Connor Catholic College in the Year 9/10 boys division grand final.
Netball NSW North regional development manager Gill Cotter said the round-robin competition saw Northern Inland Champions invited to the state final in Sydney.
"Champions get to travel to Sydney to play teams from the seven other regions in NSW. The state final will be held in late September; the last week of term," she said.
Inverell were chosen to host the regional final for the first time in the competitions history to recent upgrades of netball facilities.
Running since 2013, the TAFE NSW School Cup is an initiative from Netball NSW to provide students an opportunity to enjoy netball in an inclusive environment.
The competition is open to male and female students from public, independent and catholic schools. The competition has grown from 3000 to over 15,000 state-wide since 2013.
"The Northern Inland region is a bit of a circle. We chose to host it in Inverell rather than Tamworth this year because of new courts and upgraded facilities. We've decided to host it in Inverell every second year," she said.
From humble beginnings in 1929 when it had only a handful of players, Netball NSW has grown to become one of the largest independent sports organisations in this state.
Currently with over 115,000 members playing and enjoying netball at all levels of performance in cities, suburbs and country towns around NSW.
