The Hawks travelled to Warialda to take on the Glen Innes Magpies in the minor semi final on Saturday, and after 40 minutes of play the scores were locked up at 4-4.
Enter extra time and in an effort that has probably never happened before and will likely never be repeated, the scores will still tied after about another 80 minutes.
"It worked out to nearly two hours of footy," under-12s coach Mark O'Brien said.

The Magpies hit the scoreboard first when they crossed the line for a try in the first half, and the score remained that way until the dying stages when Inverell tied it up with around 30 seconds to go.
When the game couldn't be decided through extra time, the game was called off and would be replayed.
"They were buggered, but they never gave up," O'Brien said.
"It's a credit to both teams. They were very evenly matched teams."
O'Brien said the game probably went on for too long on Saturday, and was glad to see both teams get a chance to replay the fixture.
"It wouldn't have been fair to get a win out of Saturday," he said.
"Neither team deserved to lose it, so it was better to replay it.
"It would've ripped the heart of the kids if they lost on the weekend."
The Hawks and Magpies replayed the minor semi in Inverell on Wednesday night, with the Hawks prevailing 16-6 to advance through to the preliminary final against Warialda this weekend in Guyra.
"They were stoked. It's not very often you get to replay a semi final," O'Brien said.
In Inverell's other junior matches, the under-16s beat Moree and the under-16s league tag side beat Armidale in their major semi finals to advance straight through to the grand final.
The under-10s beat Warialda and the league tag under-13s defeated Bingara in their minor semi finals to move on to the preliminary finals this weekend.
Both the under-10s league tag team and under-14s lost their major semi finals but will have a second chance in the preliminary finals.
