Member Kate George said the book sale will begin on Thursday, October 10 at Flanders House from 5pm until 9pm.

"We thought people could pop by after work to view and purchase donated books. We have an enormous number of books this year in all categories."

The sale will continue on October 11, 12 and 13 from 9am until 5pm with all money raised predominately put towards sponsoring students to attend Rotary programs.

Many donated books are in almost new condition with a large range of non-fiction up for grabs at a heavily discounted rate.

"Some people come to get their year's supply of books. The prices go on height and people often fill up boxes with some beautiful books," she said.

Not only does Rotary Club of Inverell look at the book sale as a fundraiser but also a good way of recycling books.

Kate encouraged all book lovers to drop by and see what bargains they might be able to find.

"Even if you have a specialist interest come and have a look, we have soem beautiful plant books this year."

Generally the book sale raises around $5000.

"We all feel youth are our future. Perhaps more so when it's so dry it's something we can do to help kids go on programs that normally wouldn't be able to afford," Kate said.

The Rotary Club of Inverell also supports Youth Insearch.
