The former deputy mayor was a leading supporter for the redevelopment of our ageing hospital.
But now he has raised concerns about staffing levels, which he is worried could impact on what services are available for local patients when the upgraded facility opens next year.
Writing for The Inverell Times, Mr Bensley says there is concern that our redeveloped hospital will not be matched by an adequate number of qualified health professionals, ready and able to take us into the future.
