Inverell's Logan Baxter pushed through a testing 9.2km track during the 2019 Sapphire City River Run to finish first place with a time of 31.24 on Sunday.

In between studying Pharmacy at the University of New England in Armidale, the Inverell boy has found time to keep fit.
After smashing the female 9.2km course record by 24 seconds last year, North Star's Nikko Siddons returned for more.
Finishing in 35 minutes 10 seconds in 2018, she crossed the line as the first female runner with a time of 35 minutes on Sunday; breaking her own record set only a year ago.
The second-placed male and female runners, Dylan Koppschall (33:22) and Lucy Kauter (39:14) were previous river run winners.
Inverell East Rotary's Alistair Williams said more than 280 runners took on the challenge.
"We had a strong local contingent but there were competitors from the west to Moree, Armidale, Glen Innes and north to the Croppa Creek region. The 9.2km and 4.6km had stronger participation than last year.
"Numbers were a little down in the 2.5km but I think some competitors would have stepped up to the 4.6km this year. The running community is strong in Inverell at the moment and more able to compete in longer distances," he said.
Glen Innes' Matthew Campion completed his fourth consecutive river run in first place of the 4.6km event with a time of 15:25, a sharp time.
In second place, and the first female home, was Armidale's Brooke Stainton who finished with a time of 19 minutes. "Although numbers were down in the 2.5km the quality of running was strong."
Mitch Custance finished in first place with a time of 9:38 followed closely by Harry Watt who recorded a time of 9:43.
Elkie Wood was the first female to finish with a time of 9:46 in front of Brooke Newberry in second with a time of 10:04.
Williams commended all athletes and Inverell District Family Services who entered around 40 in the 4.6km event sporting their work uniforms.
"I'd like to thank Inverell East Rotary for the strong effort they put in and people who aren't part of Rotary who come to help; John Hodges, Ally and Helen our timers who've been doing it for 10 years now and Sta FM."
