The local club started calling for non-perishable food items and cash donations for families on the land in Mid-October at their monthly markets.
Due to the overwhelming support, Inverell Lions Club decided to establish the food collection bins to make donating easier for locals.
Inverell Lions Club Market coordinator Philip said the club would continue to collect non-perishable foods and cash donations at the markets, held every first and third Sunday of the month.
Non-perishable items are being dispersed to farmers and graziers each Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 64 Ring Street, Inverell.
As someone who has come off the land, Philip knew how hard it was for farmers and graziers to reach out and accept support, even through tough times.
"But this is what it's for, it's to help our rural residents and if you don't take it, you'll loose it. Don't be too proud. We know rain will come but it does not rain grass or money so there is still a way to go yet," he said.
Farmers have been asked to bring their Rural Lands Board Rate Notice as a way to prove they're a property owner to cover the club's legal responsibilities.
The Lions Club banner will be display at the front of the building, also known as the Inverell Scottish Pipe Band Hall, when opened from 10am until 12pm.
If you are someone who would like to support the cause, or find out more information, text Philip on 0477 520 721.
Any donation, big or small, will assist local farmers and graziers.
