The pop-up shop, to be held at Freckles Cafe on December 22, will be full of generous donations to support locals affected by the drought.
One of three organisers Lynda Atkinson said the shop will open its doors from 2pm until 5pm and provide an opportunity for people to fill a bag with whatever they need to make Christmas a little brighter.
"Margy [Perkuhn], Jenny [Thomas] and I had a meeting; we've been doing lots of things throughout the year [to assist drought-stricken locals] and basically we all looked at each other and agreed we didn't want any donations sitting in our sheds or houses on Christmas Day," she said.
After some brainstorming, the idea of a drought pop-up shop was agreed on as the perfect opportunity to distribute the donations.
Supported by junior CWA members and the Sunrise CWA branch, toys, shoes, clothes, swim wear, home goods, jewellery and plenty more will be sorted, gift wrapped and ready for collection on December 22.
"We plan to have the shop full so people can come along, grab a bag and grab whatever they need. It might be food, water, presents for the grandchildren, niece or nephew," she explained.
Coles generously donated 150 Christmas bags for shoppers to use on the day and Foodbank NSW & ACT provided 45 staple food boxes which will have luxury food items added to them.
Big W donated thousands of dollars worth of clothing and shoes through BEST Community. Other donations have flooded in from Grafton, Port Macquarie, Lake Cathie and many from around the local district.
Lynda said once the word spread of Margy's Fierce Female Farmers' movement, more and more people wanted to help in any way they could. Margy was named overall winner of the 2019 Shine Awards, a joint initiative of The Weekly Times and Harvey Norman recently.
"I was also added to the DPI honour roll as a rural treasure a few weeks ago. I think the more you get out there, the more people get to know you and the things you're trying to do," she said.
Ladies of the Land shoe boxes will also be available on the day. Meanwhile, Lynda is trying to source some dog food as she knows pups need presents too.
Although farmers may not make it into town for the pop-up shop, Lynda hoped family members would drop by and grab things for the whole family.
"It's not just about farmers either. It's about the Dad who had his hours cut back with the drought, or the lawnmower business owner who hasn't had a lawn to mow in months and the struggling small business owners who wont be able to give families the Christmas they usually would. We want to help everyone."
