Due to other contractual commitments the U12s Campbell & Freebairn verse Staggy Creek sides only came in with six players each, however the level of dedication from them more than made up for the loss. C&F batted first with Sam Burns off to a cracking start with 12 not out.
Barnaby Munro smashed his first 18 runs off 14 deliveries with Myles and Connor both retiring after a succession of fours. Captain Josh Cathie of Staggy Creek bowled superbly for 2 for 19 off three overs with Henry Ballinger and Evan Burgess also taking wickets.
Staggy then sent in Henry and Zac Riley to kick start their innings. Both retired with Ryan Horwood and George Taylor then taking the C&F bowlers to task. Evan and Josh batted valiantly however fell only a few runs short of a victory. Noah Pay bowled three overs 2 for 29 and Connor Bailey 1 for 15. The match ball went to Evan Burgess.
In the RSM verse Square & Compass game Kirby Fuller and Tom Taylor set up RSM's innings nicely with Oscar Monie and Max McLennan spending the full allocated time at the crease as well.
Eddie Grant hit the shot of the day with a brilliant four splitting deep fine leg and backward square leg. S&C had the brilliance of Dan Bell's bowling to claim a wicket and figures of 1 for 6 off two overs.
Fergus Roger, Noah Grob and Nick Morelli all bowled extremely economically. In reply, S&C banded together with stalwarts Will Kentwell and Brigalow Wolfenden Woods helping to secure a win.
Whilst S&C posted a big total, it did come with wickets and RSM's Tom Taylor, Georgie Leonard, Kirby, Eddie and Oscar Monie all bought in. The match ball went to Kirby Fuller.
