The Upper Horton native proved to be the best of the 25-elite riders competing in the event, taking home the champion's buckle.
The 2017 PBR Australia champion held his nerve in the final round when scores were close, to take out the inaugural Rodeo 4 Life Championship.
"The riders always give it their best," Wilkinson said.
"We go into every rodeo competing not with each other, but competing with the bulls hoping that all elements come together to achieve the highest score.
"With Rodeo 4 Life, I got lucky. "
Wilkinson said the atmosphere inside Wollongong's WIN Entertainment Centre during the event was unforgettable.
"This event has taken rodeo bull riding to an incredible new level," he said.
"Holding Australia's richest bull ride rodeo in an indoor arena, located right on the beach, and combining it with a light show and a full-length concert starring one of Australia's best country music singers, Travis Collins, made it an exhilarating experience for riders and the audience.
"The house was pumped, the atmosphere incredible, and because it was for charity, it was even more special."
The victory meant Wilkinson took home more than $9000 in prize money.
Wilkinson will now turn his attention to the final PBR Australia event of 2019 in Rockhampton on December 31, before events in Victoria in the new year.
