The local club started calling for non-perishable food items and cash donations for drought-stricken landowners in mid-October at their monthly markets.
Since then hundreds of generous donations have been made, not just of food items but also dog food, water, bathroom and laundry products.
The Scottish Pipe Band Hall at 64 Ring Street is open each Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 10am until 12pm for farmers and graziers to collect items they need from the donated stock.
Due to the festive season being upon us, the hall will be open on Monday and Tuesday before Christmas and the New Year (December 23, 24, 30 and 31).
Afterwards, they'll return to being open three-days per week on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday until donations stop being received.
"The club request donations of non-perishable food, bathroom and laundry products be left in the collection bins at the entrance to IGA, Woolworth's and now at Big W; by asking at the checkout.
"We ask the local community if they could donate one or two items each week from their grocery list as the need from our local farmers and graziers is growing by the day. As the ongoing drought shows no sign of abating, with summer stretching ahead and conditions worsening we urge our community to continue the support," president Tom Cattell said.
The club has asked for community involvement in sharing information about the donations available for pick-up at the hall for local farmers and graziers.
All rural land owners have to do is take their rate board notice as ID and they'll be able to collect free food and toiletries from 64 Ring Street.
Lions signs will be displayed when the hall is open. For enquires text 0477 520 721 or phone and leave your number for Sapphire City Market Coordinator Philip to phone back.
