The 23-year-old man died in a Queensland hospital on Monday, seven days after he was thrown off his bike in scrubland.
New England police confirmed the Warialda local was riding his motorcycle in bushland outside of the town between 7pm and 11.30pm on January 27.
Police were alerted after the 23-year-old was found with head and suspected spinal injuries near his damaged motorbike.
Investigators said the injured rider was conscious and was helped at the scene by family members, police officers and paramedics.
He was treated and then flown to Gold Coast hospital for emergency treatment, but passed away on Monday.
New England police were notified and are now preparing a report for the coroner.
Investigations into the cause of the crash are continuing.
