Local artists and talented designers have been encouraged to create a t-shirt inspired by the 2020 NAIDOC Week theme 'Always Was, Always Will Be'.

The 'design a t-shirt competition' is open to all age groups and can be a group story-telling project with entries set to close on March 27.
The Inverell/Tingha NAIDOC Committee then have the tough decision of choosing a winning design to feature on this year's NAIDOC shirts.
The winner will also receive $500 and a one-of-a-kind NAIDOC t-shirt.
Inverell/Tingha NAIDOC Committee's James Sheather said individual NAIDOC shirts are made for the district, each year featuring a unique pattern of art.
"This year we thought with the important theme of 'Always Was, Always Will Be' to encourage local artists to submit art with their take on the theme. We wanted a quality piece too which is why we've offered the prize money," he said.
With the winner being decided by the end of March, the shirts will be made and ready to sell to community members and services in the area soon after.
Each year the shirts are unique, and because they aren't reproduced, they become a rare piece for those who order them.
For those talented artists interested in entering, the only criteria is you must be local to the district and draw inspiration from the 2020 theme.
"All age groups, kids, adults and even share pieces like school groups are encouraged. We just want something unique for us," he said.
To enter the competition, send a photograph of yourself and your artwork along with your name, contact details and a brief story explaining the meaning behind your piece to itnaidoc@gmail.com.
With Inverell having quite the reputation as one of the best NAIDOC Week's around the region, the committee are keen to uphold that standard in 2020.
Tingha will kick start celebrations this year on July 6. Inverell's NAIDOC march and fun day at Victoria Park will be held on July 9. Mr Sheather encouraged all services and individuals to take part in NAIDOC Week events this year.
"This is a time for all of us to come together. Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal, it's about being inclusive for everyone and about sharing our culture with the wider community. We want to make everyone feel apart of the week," he said.
