As the group begins phase one of a two-year relocation project to a new site in Ross Street, a 'Moving and Growing the Inverell Community Gardens' community consultation date has been set.
Inverell Community Gardens volunteer Jane O'Brien said everybody is invited to attend the conversation on Sunday, February 23 at the RSM Club.
"What the community conversation is about is engaging with as many people as possible in our community that care about this space and the future of local food production in our area.
"It's about identifying what's needed and what's wanted so we can come up with a plan, a focus and some organisation for the move to happen," she said.
The gardens has been growing organic seasonal produce for eight years, created by school students, job seekers, farmers, learners and gardeners; all dedicated volunteers.
The event is supported by the Primary Health Network, Gwymac Landcare, Campfire Co-op and a strong group of Community Gardens volunteers. The conversation will rely heavily on attendees participation and engagement.

Campfire Co-op is an expanding group of facilitators, consultants, practitioners and curious learners in ways of working that transform the impact we have on the world.
During the two-year transition, Campfire Co-op will assist Inverell Community Gardens through all the moving parts and processes.
Inverell Community Gardens is all about inclusivity, being open to absolutely everyone and anyone no matter your background, age or gender.
"We all eat and we all need each other. This conversation is open to anyone. Everyone is aware of how dependent we are of this planet."
Lunch and refreshments will be provided at the RSM Club Auditorium for those who attend the day.
The event will run from 10am until 4pm. Register online by 5pm on February 19 through bit.ly/MoveAndGrow. Those who are unable to attend are still encouraged to register their interest to stay in touch.
Jane also welcomed those who may not be able to attend the whole day to still come along for as long as they can.
"It will be a long day, but it will be fun and I think it will go by quick."

Inverell Community Gardens volunteers hope to establish a successful working model that may be able to be adapted to work well in other areas around the region, and even further afield.
