Armed with a keenly observant comedic eye, Damian incorporates his local observations to shine a light on the undiscovered gems and present communities with a perspective of their town they've never experienced before.
Damian is currently touring the New England North West with What a Relief!, the free Comic Relief Drought tour. He will be performing at 15 venues as part of the tour.
The first leg of the tour has already delighted audiences in Warialda, Upper Horton, Yetman and Boomi, with communities left in awe of Damian's slide show in which he reveals the more quirky aspects of their towns.
The second leg of the tour will see Damian performing in Garah on Friday and Mungindi on Saturday.
Damian is best known to television and film audiences for his roles on Skithouse, Before the Game and Backyard Ashes. He has made regular appearances on Spicks and Specks, The Project and the Melbourne Comedy Festival Gala.
Set against the backdrop of a small rural town grappling with drought and the closure of its mill, the film has screened across the globe and has won accolades and hearts both in Australia and internationally.
As well as Damian, counsellors from RAMHP, primary healthcare nurses from Healthwise, rural financial counsellors from the Rural Financial Counselling Service Northern Region, and representatives from Local Land Services will be in attendance to offer advice and support.
The free events which include a barbecue as well as the show, are funded by the Primary Health Network Hunter New England Central Coast and proudly sponsored by the NSW Government.
