Mervin Burdekin was Initiated into Lodge Tingha No 410 on October 14, 1959 and from the outset Mervin showed a keen interest in the Lodge and it's progress.

Mervin later studied hard and passed the required examination, receiving a pass, Mervin was raised to the Certified Primo's Degree on September 26, 1965.
Mervin's progress in the Order continued as the Members of Lodge Tingha 410 elevated Mervin to the Degree of Knight Order of Merit, in the presence of a large gathering of Members this was duly carried out on May 18, 1969.
It was a huge honour.
Mervin worked hard with his talent, valour and wisdom for Lodge Tingha 410, and in recognition of this fact the Members of the Lodge sought permission to have Mervin's name inscribed upon the Honourable Scroll of Illustrious Knights of the Grand Australasian Banner.
This application being duly approved, the Ceremony of Bestowing the Insignia of the Roll of Honour upon Mervin was carried out at Lodge Tingha No 410 on April 14, 1974.
In 1974 Mervin was also presented with the Roll of Honour Chain Collar, then in 1995 Mervin was presented with the 30-year Jewel.
Later, in 2001 Mervin was presented with the 40-year Jewel and in 2010 Mervin was presented with the 50-year Services Jewel.
Then on February 22, 2020 Lodge Tingha 410 presented the Rt. Hon Sir Mervin Burdekin with the 60 years of services Jewel.
On the same day Laurence Burdekin received the 25 years Service Jewel and Steven Towse received the Knights Order Jewel.
Also, Trent Pierce received the E-Star Jewel and Services Rendered Jewel and Larry Frappel received the Services Rendered Jewel.
While, Ron Oliver received the Minstrels Jewel.
