Mervin Burdekin was Initiated into Lodge Tingha No 410 on October 14, 1959 and from the outset Mervin showed a keen interest in the Lodge and it's progress.
Mervin later studied hard and passed the required examination, receiving a pass, Mervin was raised to the Certified Primo's Degree on September 26, 1965.
Mervin's progress in the Order continued as the Members of Lodge Tingha 410 elevated Mervin to the Degree of Knight Order of Merit, in the presence of a large gathering of Members this was duly carried out on May 18, 1969.
It was a huge honour.

This application being duly approved, the Ceremony of Bestowing the Insignia of the Roll of Honour upon Mervin was carried out at Lodge Tingha No 410 on April 14, 1974.
In 1974 Mervin was also presented with the Roll of Honour Chain Collar, then in 1995 Mervin was presented with the 30-year Jewel.
