The Mazda SUV was pulled over on Monday (March 23) at around 2.45pm for the purpose of a random breath test.
Returning a positive reading, the man returned to Inverell Police Station where a breath analysis revealed the low-range result.
He was issued with an infringement notice for the drink-driving offence.
Meanwhile, on Saturday (March 21), the driver of a Toyota Landcruiser was stopped on the Glen Innes road for the purposes of a random breath test.
The 53-year-old man returned a positive reading at around 1.40pm. He was conveyed back to the station for a further breath analysis.
At Inverell Police Station, he returned a mid-range reading and his licence was immediately suspended.
He was issued with a court attendance notice to appear at Inverell Local Court later in April.
