The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called to the track after Elly Chapple and Sarah Rushbrook were thrown from their horses.
Ambulance paramedics treated the pair at the scene before transporting them to Inverell airport to be transferred to Lismore Base Hospital in a stable condition.
Chapple is suspected to have suffered a broken elbow, while Rushbrook is suspected to have suffered a broken leg.
The incident forced the remainder of Sunday's meeting to be abandoned and comes after the industry returned from lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Inverell Harness Racing Club shared a message on behalf of Chapple's parents, Dean and Julie, via social media to thank the community for their support.
"Both Julie and Dean are so appreciative of the support and help they received for Elly yesterday after the fall - on the track, in their travels to Lismore late last night and all of the messages of support," the post read.
"Elly is now in Lismore Hospital still undergoing scans but at this stage it looks like it may be only a broken elbow.
"They would also like to thanks the Clerks of the Course - Dwayne Dixon and Col Mathers, along with Kerry Miller, for their outstanding support on the track- not that they want to single anyone out.
"They are most appreciative for everyone's help."
The club also took to social media to send its support to the two reinswomen.
"Thank you also to the medical staff who were track side and also a huge appreciation to club secretary Kerry Miller, who is a nurse in her life away from harness racing," the post read.
"We wish Elly and Sarah all the best at this time and when we know more we will keep you up to date.
"Thanks for your concerns - the girls know they are loved."
Meetings will continue throughout the state behind closed doors, only allowing accredited personnel will be allowed on track.
Tamworth Harness Racing Club will host its next meeting on Tuesday night.
