Northern Tablelands MP Adam Marshall announced RCC as the successful tenderer for the second stage of the $60 million project.
The construction company has built the brand new state-of-the-art hospital building as part of stage one of the project, and Mr Marshall said he was confident RCC would do a high-quality job refurbishing the historic old Inverell Hospital building for a fresh new role in healthcare.
"Over the last two years we have seen the team from RCC deliver Inverell a brand new state-of-the-art hospital building, on time and within budget," Mr Marshall said.
"With the announcement of RCC as the successful tenderer work can soon get underway on stage two, which includes the refurbishment of most of the existing Inverell Hospital building to enable the relocation of services from the existing Community Health building.
"Once complete, the refurbished facility will offer adult ambulatory care, including mental health services, women's and children's health services, chronic disease treatment programs and allied health.

"The internal refurbishment works will commence once the existing hospital services are relocated into the new hospital building mid this year, with some early works to occur before this.
"As with the stage one, RCC will look to hire local tradies during the refurbishment, providing continued employment opportunities in Inverell during this difficult time which is COVID-19.
"RCC will host an industry information session in coming months to provide information on the requirements for businesses interested in working on the refurbishment project."
Mr Marshall said stage one of the redevelopment was progressing well, with final internal works underway.
"The countdown is on with only months to go before we see the services from the old Inverell Hospital building relocate into the new facility," he said.
"All the external work on the building is complete, as is the construction of the additional space which will house the hospital's Computerised Tomography (CT) Scanner.
"Should the build continue on its current schedule, it's expected we will see services move in and patients start to be treated in the new building by the middle of this year."
Inverell Shire Deputy Mayor Anthony Michael welcomed the announcement and appointment of RCC to undertake the stage two works.
"The community is very excited by the progress so far and the quality of the work," Cr Michael said.
"Having the same company for stage two will ensure a seamless transition of the works and continuity in the quality of the final product.
"This is a very important project for Inverell as we continue to grow and we cannot wait to see it completed and operational."
