Back in August 2018, a memorial race day was held in memory of former rider Scott, with the club raising $5,000 on the day.
The family wanted the funds to go back into the club, so the club decided to put the money towards new start gates, to replace the original gates that were almost 40 years old.
The official opening will kick off a massive race day, with Scott's family to attend the special event.
"Scott's parents and sister will attend the official opening of the new start gates and unveil the memorial plaque that will be on the gates starters box as a tribute tot heir son and his past involvement in the motocross world," Inverell Motorcycle Sports Club race secretary Bec Solomon said.
Solomon said the club is very grateful to all the local businesses and community who supported the memorial day in 2018 that played a major role in the new start gates being installed.
Around 100 riders from right across the region will gear up for a massive day of racing following the opening.
"It's going to be a huge day," Solomon said.
"We've already got 51 [riders] signed on which is really good only being Thursday.
"They're coming from everywhere; Gunnedah, Narrabri, Moree Armidale, Tamworth, Quirindi."
The opening of the start gates will take place at around 8.45am, with races to follow. Riders can sign on for the race day online.
