Mr White's 44 -year-old daughter Melissa was diagnosed with melanoma four months ago and is currently going through cancer treatment.
"Melissa lives in Caloundra and she got involved with the Cancer Council's Walk for Women's Cancer event up there," Mr White said.
"My wife Yvonne is staying with her, but when she registered for the event she had her pink tutu sent here.
"My daughter sent a text out asking if there were any fellas out there game enough to do what these blokes are gonna do, and I said yeah - your dad can do that - and I did."
Mr White walked around the streets of Inverell as part of Team Liss - his daughter's team in the Sunshine Coast Walk for Women's Cancer event.

"Melissa did a little bit but my wife and grand daughter walked it on the Sunshine Coast, and some nieces in Sydney walked for Team Liss there, and another niece did it in Melbourne," Mr White said.
"I walked the main streets of Inverell and people were very generous."
Collectively Team Liss raised $4,826 which put them in fifth position on the top team ladder. In total the event raised $159,725 with 1,294 individual fundraisers participating.
Mr White and his wife went to stay with Melissa when she was first diagnosed with cancer. Two months ago Mr White came home before the borders closed and then couldn't get back.
Now Inverell is in the border bubble he plans to return.
"I'm outta here tomorrow," he said. " I can now go and see Melissa and do a bit of helping out until she has recovered from her next surgery."
