The company's chief people officer Todd Newton says whilst the processing facility in Inverell, and the business as a whole, has evolved greatly over the last two and half decades, it continues to embody the strong sense of family and integrity from which it was built all those years ago.
"The Inverell processing facility has been a key step in what is a global supply chain, having shipped product to over 70 countries around the world," he said.
"During our 25-year history in the Inverell community, we have employed over 10,000 people and paid $1 billion in wages, a major contribution to the Inverell economy."
More than 20 staff will celebrate having worked at the Inverell facility for over 25 years this week
"That is an amazing achievement," Mr Newton said.
The company currently employs more than 850 staff on-site and in a broad range of roles across the beef supply chain.
"This includes accountants, information technology, quality assurance, human resources and training, electricians, tradespeople, logistics, supply chain, cattle buyers and more," Mr Newton said.
"We are passionate about supporting and being active in the community by providing financial, or in-kind support to a variety of grassroots business including schools, business, church and community groups, sporting teams as well as a sponsor and participant in many local events."
An additional 60 local people will be hired to join the Inverell team over the next quarter in a variety of skilled and unskilled roles.
"Our recruiting and onboarding programs continue to be refined which today delivers a quicker start for successful applicants," said Mr Newton.
"The Bindaree Food Group business takes great pride in the experience and passion of its people, pairing this with a unique flavour that has seen the business sustain itself and navigate the complexities of both the food and cattle industries for 25 years."
