Detectives raided the Ballarat property on Hickman St on Tuesday evening, with forensic officers examining the scene.

"We are continuing to receive a significant amount of information and it's a matter of time before those responsible for her death are arrested," Detective Inspector Andrew Stamper said in a statement on Wednesday.

The development came just a day after Det Insp Stamper said the Missing Persons Squad was close to solving the case, having established several significant leads in Ballarat.

"Our investigation has gained significant momentum," he said on Monday.

"While we feel we are close to getting to the bottom of what happened to Kobie, we are once again urging anyone who knows anything to come forward.

"This includes anyone who may have been involved, as it's only a matter of time before we find them."

Ms Parfitt was last seen in Ballarat on April 28 and Det Insp Stamper believes that's when she was killed.

"Since that time there's been no contact, no trace whatsoever of Kobie, which is completely out of character," he said.

Det Insp Stamper told ABC Ballarat on Monday that Ms Parfitt had a challenging life around drugs and crime, and she had been estranged from her family for several years.

But he said her family was still grieving for her and is desperate for answers.
