The Tingha product and former Inverell Hawks junior was the Titans' inaugural signing and involved in some of their best on-field moments during his 103-game stint before retiring in 2011.
His son Jayden has been promoted to the Titans' top squad this season, while Campbell had a section of their home stadium named after him in 2018.

The exciting fullback or five-eighth has remained a mentor to many current players, but is now back at the club in an official capacity in performance and administration.
Campbell's return headlines a Gold Coast staff recruitment blitz to match their on-field efforts, with big-name arrivals Tino Fa'asuamaleaui and David Fifita among the most-talked-about movements of 2021.
Former AFL player and Gold Coast Suns assistant coach Nick Malceski is another new face at their Parkwood training base, enlisted to work with the Titans' outside backs and kickers.
The former Sydney Swans and Suns defender was among a host of coaching staff cut as part of the AFL club's budget cuts and backroom restructure last year.
He's found a home in the NRL serving a similar purpose to that of current Brisbane Lions defender Daniel Rich, who's taken Broncos half Tom Dearden under his wing.
The Titans haven't finished higher than eighth since Campbell last laced up the boots.
But coach Justin Holbrook is happy with how things are shaping up as they look to build on a promising five-game winning streak to end his first season in charge.
"It was great to have him out on the field today around the boys," Holbrook said of Campbell at training on Monday.
