Jesse May Newcomb has admitted to high-range PCA as well as mid-range drink driving after she was intercepted by police twice on the night of November 20.

The 30-year-old was excused from appearing in Tenterfield Local Court, after her charges were listed for the first time.

A solicitor formally entered pleas of guilty to driving with both high-range and mid-range PCA on behalf of Newcomb.

Magistrate Mark Richardson accepted the pleas, and continued Newcomb's bail ahead of sentencing in late-March.

Newcomb - who lives in Labrador in Queensland - has been ordered to appear in Tweed Heads Local Court for sentencing.

Police found Newcomb on the Gwydir Highway in Inverell about 11pm on the November night in question.

New England police spotted the blue Mercedes Benz with Queensland number plates, on the side of the road.

Officers stopped and spoke with 30-year-old Newcomb, before conducting a number of checks.

Police became suspicious after speaking with Newcomb and she underwent a random breath test, before she returned a positive result.

She was arrested and taken to Inverell Police Station where police said she later recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.171 - more than three times the legal limit.

She was charged with high-range PCA and police seized the keys to her Mercedes Benz.

Just five hours earlier, she had been charged by New England police, after she was intercepted in Tenterfield, more than 160km away.

About 6pm, police said Newcomb recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.115 at Tenterfield.

She was granted conditional bail, and has been suspended from driving in NSW since.
