The NSW Rural Fire Service told The Inverell Times investigations into the housefire on New Valley Road on Tuesday were still ongoing.
However damage to electrical wires in the house has not been ruled out as a cause, NSW Rural Fire Service Superintendent Chris Wallbridge said.

"There is the possibility of that, however the investigations are still ongoing," Superintendent Wallbridge said.
Fire tore through the building at about 10am on Tuesday, completely engulfing the building on New Valley Road.
Meanwhile, investigations into the earlier house fire in Tingha this week, which claimed the life of a man in his 70s, are also ongoing.
The findings of the investigations will be prepared in a report by police for the Coroner.
