Plans have finally been revealed for the official opening ceremony of the new Inverell Police Station.

The ceremony will begin at 11am on Monday, with a short parade of former and current police officers, mounted officers, all supported by the police band, starting at 10.45am.
They'll march from the temporary station on Campbell Street to the brand new facility on Otho Street.

A temporary road closure will be in place in Inverell along Otho Street, between Rivers and Evans Streets, between 6am to 12 pm for the opening.
Minister for Police and Emergency Services the Honourable David Elliott and the NSW Police Commissioner Michael Fuller APM, will officiate the ceremony.
While the police station itself is not open to everyone for walkthrough, Acting Inspector Cameron Paine said hoped to see everyone for the ceremony.
"The commencement and ceremony is an open invitation for people to come and gather and watch a historical moment for the Inverell community," Acting Inspector Paine said.
