The spotlight will be officially switched on as Inverell's 'FLAG A JOB' initiative, which aims to tackle sweeping worker shortages in town, goes live on Thursday.

The Inverell Business Chamber of Commerce and Industry push will show positions vacant locally, with a bright yellow flag or banner outside participating businesses looking to hire.
Not only that, but in conjunction with the 'HUB' website, it's hoped to attract out-of-towners by "showcasing the beautiful community and people of Inverell and so much more".

It will collate job vacancies, schooling options, childcare vacancies, housing, training options, apprenticeships and include a gallery of images.
The website was brought to life by Full Package Marketing's Laura Cush, who was thrilled to finally launch the project after experiencing COVID-related delays.
"The response from businesses so far has been massive," Ms Cush explained.
"It's a very unique initiative that shines a spotlight right on Inverell - it's a pilot program made right here, so I am expecting other councils and chambers to get in touch to do something similar for their towns."
Inverell Shire Council have become partners, voting to financially support the program at their July meeting, which will add up to $15.2 thousand over four years: a move heartily supported by all councilors.
Since then, the Chamber have garnered three major sponsors: Boss Engineering, Jobs Australia and Brighter Access. The HUB will show that currently, there are 112 vacancies, 12 rentals, 96 properties for sale, four apprenticeships, eight schools and three childcare locations at the ready in town.
"We have five real estate agencies on board already, too," Ms Cush said.
"There are different packages available for businesses looking to get involved."
The whole initiative began with crisis talks with the Inverell business community, where ideas were tossed around, mulled over and dissected, and many late nights were spent going over different concepts.
