While the start to the Inverell cricket season was delayed due to wet weather, the town's juniors hit the field on Sunday for the start of the Central North representative season.
Inverell's under 17 team got off to a flyer with a seven wicket win over Namoi.

The visitors won the toss and opted to bat and lost their opening bat with 17 runs on the board. Zac Craig kept the run rate steady for the Namoi side, posting 66 runs as they posted 124.
Craig became the victim of Cooper Collins who was in fine form with the ball.
The Guyra teenager claimed a career best 5-9 as he ripped through Namoi's lower order.
Ed Montgomery with 1-16, Jeff Annis-Brown with 1-12, Ryan Campbell with 1-27 and Cameron Stewart 1-33 also featured among the wicket takers.
In their run chase, Inverell managed 27 runs before Glen Innes' Mitch Duddy departed on nine.
Montgomery was next with eight, followed by Sam Frazier on five but Stewart kept things rolling with a team-high 54 not out and was there at the end, along with Will Marshall on 12 not out, as their side chased down the required 125 runs with three wickets down.
"The game was played in excellent spirit by the two teams," Simon Smith, who umpired the game, said.
"Unfortunately they both played a player short which is an issue with getting enough players to play."
In the under 13s, Inverell scored a five-wicket win over Narrabri.
With the ball, Evan Burgess claimed 2-23, Riley Alexander took 4-30 and Harrison Bailey managed 4-18 while Henry Ballinger was the top run-scorer with 25 not out.
In the under 15s, Inverell came up against an experienced Tamworth Blue and were beaten.
